This is my favorite dance school in Stockholm. Always friendly faces and great vibes during classes and socials. I enjoyed every course I have taken at idance! The teachers have different teaching styles and focus. I loved Bachata Sensual classes with David, Annie and Omayda, for a perfect mix of fun and challenge. Classes with Emanuela and Emigen are creative, inspiring and very fun. Lisette is brilliant at creating inclusive and safe spaces, and she cares about every student´s progress. She focuses on correct dance technique and foundations incl. musicality, which has helped me a lot! Andreas is a multi-talent, the classes with him are challenging but encouraging and joyful! I am sure the other teachers are great too 🙂 I can recommend this school very much.

Very nice and welcoming dance school. Special mention to Lis she is a very patient, knowledgeable, and kind teacher who focuses both on individual improvement and the collective progress of the class. I fully recommend learning bachata with her!

Started taking bachata classes at iDance Södermalm back in December based on an advice from a friend to try it out once with Lissette, and I’m hooked since. The school and the community is super friendly and welcoming.

Lis is honestly such a great teacher. I particularly appreciate that she emphasizes on technique and actually helps people improve, not just memorize combos. She also takes time giving personal feedback whenever needed which shows me she genuinely cares about her students.

So far I've enjoyed her class so much that I also joined her Dance Techniques class 😄 Definitely recommend both Lisette and iDance 🕺

I had never tried my hand at Latin American dancing so I was a complete newbie when I signed up for beginner's bachata at iDance. But I probably had the best luck in the world because I had Lisette as my teacher. She makes you feel at ease and all her classes are so fun that when the time runs out, you feel sad. She's extremely thorough, making sure her students understand and replicate each technique. She's kind and just, treating everyone equally. She is definitely the reason I kept showing up for the classes. I would recommend iDance and especially Lisette as the go-to place to inculcate and hone your dancing skills.

Do I need a dance partner?

No. You are welcome to register on your own or together with a partner.

Are the classes suitable for complete beginners?

Yes. All trial classes listed on this page are designed for people with no previous dance experience.

Is the class really free?

Yes. There is no charge. Please reserve your place in advance so we know that you are coming.

What should I wear?

Wear comfortable clothes and clean indoor shoes. You can also dance in socks.

Can I attend if I do not speak Swedish?

Yes. Our classes are usually taught in a mix of Swedish and English, depending on the group. The instructors demonstrate everything clearly and can explain the exercises in English whenever needed.

What happens after the trial class?

You can continue in a seven-week beginner course if you enjoy the class. There is no obligation to register.
