My dance journey
Omayda has many years of experience in partner dancing and a long background in ballroom dancing. She began dancing at the age of five and competed from the age of eight until she was nineteen. During her teens she also appeared in several musicals and broadened her dance training with jazz, ballet and contemporary dance.
After ending her elite-level competitive career at nineteen, she began teaching ballroom, Bachata and Salsa. Her teaching places a strong emphasis on technique and helping dancers develop a deeper understanding of how the body moves.
