Andreas took his first Salsa course in 1999 at Mälarsalens dance academy in Stockholm but as a child he was dancing hiphop and other dance styles. In the year 2000 he moved to a new city and he didn’t continue with Salsa until 2004 when he started dancing full on again in Lund. The style of Salsa that he preferred when he started dancing was the Cuban style. Today he dances most styles of Salsa.

Andreas has been inspired by many teachers both nationally and internationally and has taught in several different dance schools. He has traveled to multiple Latin American countries to develop in dance, among others Cuba, Dominican Republic and Colombia. He has also been in many different shows and performed and taught in international congresses. In 2015 he attended the Sensual Bachata teachers course with Korke and Judith in Spain.

Competitions: Andreas competed in dance for the first time in 2012 when he won first place in the Swedish championship of Bachata together with Matilda Tuomela. He also won the same competition 2013 and finished third place 2014. In 2015 he competed with Frida in Swedish Bachata stars where they won Silver. In 2016 Andreas and Frida became the Swedish champions of Bachata. 2017 Andreas competed together with Ingrid and they became Swedish champions once more and in 2018 they competed and won again. Andreas is today a 5 times Swedish champion of Bachata together with 3 different dance partners.

In addition to the Latin American dances Andreas has taken courses in many other dance styles such as Lindy hop, Bugg, Samba, Kizomba, Zouk, different Hip hop styles, Tango, Ballet, Jazz and Capoeira which is a form of Martial arts dance.

Andreas started teaching Salsa and Bachata in 2008 and is now a well renowned instructor. What you can expect from his classes is lots of laughter, joy and to always be learning something new.
