About iDance - Our Story And Mission
Since 2014, iDance Studios has been building a vibrant dance community in Stockholm, focused on connection, joy, and self-expression through dance. Our courses are aimed at adults and contain a large focus on the social aspects of dance. It should be fun to dance at all levels and everyone should be able to dance with everyone.
In our courses, we have everything from people who have recently moved to Stockholm and want to expand their social circle to couples who want to have a fun activity to do together.
The founder of the school, Andreas Källman, is a five-time Swedish champion of Bachata and has taught both Salsa and Bachata actively since 2008 in many different schools in Sweden.
iDance Studios was founded in late 2014 and has since then grown organically with more and more dance classes in Stockholm. At iDance, we are not satisfied with only giving our students great courses.We also want to give them the opportunity to meet new people and to become a part of the iDance Family. We do this through organizing social dance evenings and activities and by giving our students the possibility to get more involved in the school through volunteering.

Meet Our Founder -Andreas Källman
My name is Andreas Källman I am, at the time of writing, 41 years old and I was born and raised in Stockholm. I have a Masters degree in Computer science from Lunds University and I have studied marketing, economics and management at different universities in Sweden. I worked as a software engineer for 5 years before I realized that this was not what I wanted to do with my life. I knew I wanted to give more value to others and that I wanted more freedom to spend on my two passions in life dancing and self-development but I didn’t know how to achieve this. My passion for dancing started already as a child with hip-hop dancing.
It grew when I started dancing Salsa in 1999 and in 2008 I Started Teaching Salsa because I wanted to help spread the joy of dance to others. Even though dance and self-development had long been my two passions in life it took me until 2014 to start my own dance school. The reason for this is I didn’t think it was possible to make a living on dance. Dancing was always something I saw myself spending my time on once I had managed to build a successful company in another field.
In 2015 we hosted our first courses as iDance and since then the school has become one of Sweden’s leading dance schools. Through iDance I have met many of my closest friends and the love of my life. Starting to dance and starting iDance have been the best decisions of my life.

At iDance, we believe anyone can learn to dance and that the best way to learn is by having fun.
Nobody should be afraid of doing things the wrong way. We are there to help you every step of the way and we want our students to support each other.
At our iDance dance school, everyone is welcome and at the social dance evenings, we encourage those more experienced to help out the newcomers.
Even a master was once a beginner and it’s important to be humble and give back to the community.
Couple dances are about having fun and connecting with other people and you can do that with everyone.
For many people, iDance is a sanctuary for their mind, where they can release the stress from everyday life and just be themselves.
