About iDance – dance and community

Easy to start. Fun to stay.

Come on your own or with someone you know. You do not need a dance partner, and our beginner courses start with the foundations. All courses can be followed in English.

We want you to feel comfortable trying, asking questions and developing at your own pace. Dancing is also a way to meet new people and find a community.

From the class to the dance floor

iDance was founded in autumn 2014, and our first courses took place in 2015. Social dancing has been part of iDance ever since: a place to practise, meet people and enjoy dancing together.

At our social dance evenings, you can put what you learn in class into practice. Check the programme to find an evening that suits you. Buy single tickets for Bachata Night and iDance Sundays. Select the single-ticket option “Dropin + Social” or “Socialdans” at checkout.

Meet our founder, Andreas

Andreas Källman is a five-time Swedish Bachata champion and has taught Salsa and Bachata since 2008. His idea for iDance is to bring people together through dance.

The story behind iDance

Andreas grew up in Stockholm and started hip-hop dancing as a child. He discovered Salsa in 1999 and began teaching in 2008. After studying computer science and working as a software engineer for five years, he wanted to make more room for dance.

He founded iDance in autumn 2014, and the first courses began the following year. The school grew through classes, dance evenings and people who wanted to share their enjoyment of dance.
