Find your level in Cuban Salsa
Beginner is for dancers who are new to this style. If you have danced before, choose a level based on your Cuban Salsa skills, even if you have experience in a different salsa style.

Which level suits you?
Beginner
Learn basic steps, rhythm, leading and following in a welcoming group. No previous dance experience is needed.
Continuation 1 and 2
Build on the basics with combinations, body control and musicality. Choose your next step based on what you already know; read the course prerequisites.
Intermediate/Advanced
For dancers who have completed continuation courses or have equivalent experience. Refine technique, improvisation and musicality through more advanced combinations.

Before you book
Do I need a partner?
No. Come on your own or with someone. We usually rotate partners, but if you come together you can choose to dance with each other.
Where is the course?
Each course shows its studio and address. Söder is at Tjurbergsgatan 27, near Skanstull. Valhalla is at Valhallavägen 55, by Tekniska högskolan. Check your course before you travel.
How do I book?
Choose Book course beside your chosen course. Registration opens in Coursely, where you select individual registration or the option that suits you. The Swedish button “Anmäl individuellt” means register individually. Check the course and price before completing the booking.
Can I try it first?
See open house and its current schedule. It shows which classes you can try for free. Open house has its own free booking.
What is Cuban Salsa?
Cuban Salsa, also called Salsa Cubana or Casino, has its roots in Cuba. It uses circular movement and playful turns in which partners move around one another. Rhythm, musicality and improvisation are important elements. Classes give you time to understand both the steps and how to dance them with a partner.
What we work on
Beginner introduces salsa music, basic steps and clear leading and following. Continuation courses develop technique and combinations. As the basics become familiar, there is more room for improvisation and personal expression.
Cuban Salsa or crossbody?
Cuban Salsa often uses circular movement. Crossbody salsa is danced more along a line. Both are built on music, rhythm and connection; choose the style that appeals to you and the appropriate course level for that style.
